A Lesson in Respect
There are a lot of people who make mention of “respect” and there are people in our world who deserve a certain level of respect. Let’s look at it from a Satanic point of view. There is common respect, respect that goes hand-in-hand with common courtesy. You do not need to know anything about the person to give common respect; it is the respect you would give any stranger of which you owe no responsibility nor duty. This goes hand-in-hand with personal conduct. If you say “please” and “thank you”, you will be well received and respect is something that is sorely lacking in our society today.
Treating people with basic respect seems to be a lost art (along with clearly articulating ideas with complete sentences). When you first meet someone or perhaps someone holds a door open for you as you are entering a building, it is accepted and expected for you to say “thank you”. If someone does something for you, it is also expected to be met with a show of gratitude. These are also transferable skills within corporate culture and beyond. Knowing what is acceptable and what is not acceptable is very important, especially when trying to convince someone to do business with you.
Kindness also goes hand-in-hand with respect. Since I am a Satanist, you may think I am lacking when it comes to manners and social norms but this is a Satanic principle. If you meet someone with kindness and you address them with kindness, they will reciprocate. If you choose words that are threatening, you will meet with some manner of difficulty in presenting any further ideas or information. People are amazed when I correspond with them because they view me as a Satanist; as being someone who has no respect or is barely able to form a complete sentence or articulate an idea however, once they converse with me, they find that is not the case. They are almost surprised to find this revelation however, it is nothing more than common courtesy. If you treat someone with common courtesy, they will usually treat you with common courtesy. Those who verbally attack me or begin a conversation with disrespect, soon find although I may be nice, I am not and will not be their victim. For people to have a fair and value-added exchange of information, respect must be there.
Next, there is professional respect for achievement of great accomplishments. These individuals deserve respect in their chosen field because they have either 1) gone above and beyond the norm or 2) because they have attributed something fantastic to their chosen professional field or area of practice. These people may be respected in forums such as the Nobel Peace Prize or a writer award; perhaps recognized by their peers in some other form of award or perhaps they are moved up the echelon into a higher place or class within their hierarchy. Regardless of what mechanism is used, plain and simple these are the individuals who have worked hard for something and achieved it. These are not the individuals to engage in a word fight or other cognitive battle. If you choose to engage an individual in his or her chosen field, you should be prepared for what will come back your way! This type of respect will also be widely communicated throughout industry or the segregated subject area in which you chose to engage the person. Respect will serve you well!
When working Satanic Magic spells, be sure to clear your mind of everything except for the focus of the working. When you are having trouble concentrating, you should stop the ritual work and meditate for a few minutes or until you can control your thoughts. This is a very crucial part of magic overall but it especially applies to spells. The focus of your energy must be precise; it should be honed to a Laser point that you are always in control of and are continuously increasing the potency of the energy being generated. Anything less will fail to yield the desired outcome and will perhaps, harm you as a byproduct instead.
Many people overlook meditation in their daily lives and that is a real shame. There are so many benefits from frequent meditation and clearing of the mind, chakras and channels. Among the benefits is the repair of the brain through calming introspection and rumination. This maintenance and repair is needed to ensure the magic and spirit remain firmly connected; for without one, there can not exist the other.
Before your next magical working, invite those with you to meditate with you. Formulate the way you (as a group or alone) visualize the outcome of the magical working that will soon follow. When the group agrees upon one unanimous image in the mind’s eye, begin the meditation process. This may seem a waste of time for those new to magic so your group must be willing to explain and teach the benefits of such an investment of time. I am confident your workings will yield much greater, successful outcomes. Stress the importance of such an endeavor and make it part of future practices.
Until next time, Satanic Blessings!!
